On April 28, 2020, Adam Miller passed away from cardiac sarcoidosis, a rare and undiagnosed auto-immune disease. He was 30 years old, full of life, and very loved.
After graduating from Northwest High School, Adam received a full scholarship to play football at UTC. He started 40 games at right tackle and was honored to be voted a team captian his senior year. Adam graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management.
After graduation, Adam worked in commercial construction overseeing many projects in the Hamilton County and North Georgia areas. He enjoyed commercial construction but had always wanted to build houses, so when an opportunity came, he joined D. R. Horton, a nationwide fortune 500 residential construction company. He truly enjoyed his time at D.R. Horton.
He was married to Cara Holden Miller in 2016. They had a 16 month old daughter, Maddie Drew and a baby son due in the fall. Adam Coleman Miller II was born October 1, 2020.
Adam meant so much to so many. He would be very shocked and humbled by the love that has been shown to his family since his passing.
June 17, 2020 was the inaugural Adam Miller Memorial Golf Tournament. It was held at Nob North Golf Course in Varnell, GA. The primary goal of the tournament was to raise money for Adam’s children's education. With the overwhelming support of the communities that he was connected to, a secondary goal was quickly set to donate part of the money raised to a cause in Adam's memory.

Maddie Drew is a six year old mixture of everything sparkly and everything competitive. She is kind, loving and makes friends wherever she goes. Maddie participates in dance, gynmastics, basketball and cheerleading.
Coleman is four. He loves playing with trucks, boats, tractors and construction equipment. He also loves to build with legos and magnatiles. His favorite place is playing outside in the mud. He is very much like his father.
Maddie and Coleman are true mixtures of both of their parents. They have however mastered cutting their eyes and giving the "Adam look" that so many of us have seen before. Like Cara and Adam, they enjoy camping, swimming, lake days and cheering on the VOLS. They attend Stuart Heights Baptist Church and Boyd Buchanon School. They love all of their family, but like Adam, Cara is their favorite person!
We had some impressive scores last year. -18 was the winning score for both flights.

Thank you to Ben Dodds for taking all of the photos last year. They look fantastic.
Having the work ethic and preparation enabling you to do your best job so the person beside you can do his best job
"Right side pride" was a phrase heard many times coming from Adam during his playing days. While it was mostly good natured ribbing of his teammates, Adam lived his life by this standard. He pushed himself harder than any coach, teacher, or parent ever could.
We took this phrase and created an entity that would facilitate the golf tournament. The charges from registration will be from Right Side Pride.
